What is Nutritional Therapy?
Nutritional Therapy treats the body as a whole, seeking the root causes of health concerns, rather than simply treating the symptoms.
I use an evidence-based approach to improving your health though individually formulated nutritional and lifestyle changes. We are each individual in our make-up and therefore, ‘one size fits all’ models of eating is not appropriate for a lot of people.
We are what we eat! Every cell in our body requires adequate and appropriate nutrition for its optimal functioning:
- Digestion
- Energy production
- Hormone production
- Our brain and nervous system
- Cardiovascular system
- Immune response
- Detoxification
- Healthy DNA replication
- Bones and joints
- Hair, skin and nails
- Growth
- Repair
Many people are struggling with long-term chronic conditions which affect their quality of life and restricts their ability to live an active and fulfilling life. Such conditions include:
- Allergies
- Chronic Fatigue / ME / Fibromyalgia
- Eczema
- Gout
- Hypothyroidism
- Irritable Bowel Syndrome
- Obesity
- Osteoporosis
- PCOS
- PMS
- Psoriasis
- Rheumatoid Arthritis
This is a far from exhaustive list but these conditions are among many that can be supported and improved through nutritional therapy. I work with each client thoroughly, taking a detailed case history in order to determine the root cause of the condition.
